Ingredients:
-
- 12 oz (350 grams) long grain rice
5 oz (150 grams) lentils
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 and 1/2 oz (40 grams) butter
Salt

- Directions:
- Place the lentils in a saucepan.
Add water to cover.
Bring to a boil and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Drain, reserving 18 fl oz (500 ml) of the cooking liquid.
Put the rice in a saucepan.
Add the reserved cooking liquid, the curry powder, butter and a pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and all
the liquid has been absorbed.
Stir in the lentils and transfer to a warm serving dish.
